Almost (nothing) Normal

It reminds me of a stick of seaside rock. Over here they make them with the name of the resort in the middle- a clever process where they roll out the still pliable sugar into long strips and roll the letters in one at a time until the name is visible when the tube of "rock" is broken. My mother used to work in a rock factory when she was a teenager. There might be some film of the process somewhere - I'll have a look. It seems ripe for an artists intervention.
