Half Cleveland Handout
Half Cleveland--a band from Akron, Ohio--is playing in NYC tonight and tomorrow night. If you want one of these little packets (created by me), you'll have to go and beg one from the band.

To attend Half Cleveland's gigs this weekend, go here. For information about PIN PUNK, go here.
Here's the story (and please stop me if you've heard this one before). I started making these little wearable pins/badges/tags ...packets more than 25 years ago as my way to creatively participate in the innovate "new wave" art and music scene that had grown up around Akron & Kent, Ohio in the 1970s and 80s. I've stayed in touch with many of these bands/musicians over the years and continue to be inspired and awed by their smartness, their skill, and their dedication to creativity and art. I make these little packets (usually in small batches from 50 -150) for the bands to hand out at their gigs. I don't get paid to do this. It's my way of honoring the creative spirit of others. Doing these little badges and packets is what led me to Fluxus (or led Fluxus to me), which, in turn, opened the door to an even larger creative playing field. But here I am, all these years later, still making fan adorations for some of the most creative people I've ever met. Still amazed and grateful for how they changed my life.
Learn about Half Cleveland and Tin Huey, here. Learn about Chi-Pig, here. Learn about Chris Butler (a long-standing member of Fluxus Midwest), Future Fossil Music, and The Waitresses, here and here.
