newly released collaborative title: Barbour and Murphy
http://www.uap.ualberta.ca/UAP.asp?LID=41&bookID=664
Continuations
Douglas Barbour, Sheila E. Murphy
“The strength of this book is in its quick-change artistry, the sensation of flux that is continuous, and capable at any moment of erupting into epiphany or surprise.” Roo Borson Across great distances and a panorama shaped by words, poets Douglas Barbour and Sheila Murphy began writing in collaboration. Tapped to technology’s dance across paper, with thoughts like bright colours coursing across screens, Continuations emerged as the product of a new creator, a “third individual,” who writes differently from either poet. Words shapeshifted and poets transformed, Continuations is an intriguing addition to the growing field of collaborative poetry in North American literature.

Price: CND$ 19.95, USD$ 19.95, £ 10.99

Google Poem #2
This morning when I woke up I could
This morning when I woke up actually my nephew woke me up
This morning when I woke up there was a giant
This morning when I woke up I was having trouble breathing again
This morning when I woke up I decided I would drive to church
This morning when I woke up I thought I was dead
This morning when I woke up quite hung over
This morning when I woke up the pain seemed to be gone
This morning when I woke up I couldn’t breathe
This morning when I woke up she was nowhere to be found
This morning when I woke up I got out of the tent and saw a deer
This morning when I woke up I could hardly get out of bed for the pain
This morning when I woke up I didn’t know I looked like that
This morning when I woke up with Isaiah sleeping next to me
This morning when I woke up I didn’t have any real problems
This morning when I woke up I smelled the beautiful fresh summer air
This morning when I woke up and the ship was still rolling
This morning when I woke up the spot was larger
This morning when I woke up I could almost close my fist
This morning when I woke up I had frequent dizzy spells
This morning when I woke up in the car
This morning when I woke up at 6 a.m. from an eight hour sleep
This morning when I woke up I hadn’t yet remembered one of my dreams
This morning when I woke up I had a real sense of “Today is the first day of the rest of my life”
This morning when I woke up they were both on the bed
This morning when I woke up early, I was coughing
This morning when I woke up to another damp day
This morning when I woke up it hurt to breathe
This morning when I woke up with unmistakable exam butterflies in my stomach
This morning when I woke up there were two chickadees on the railing of my balcony
This morning when I woke up there was just myself left
This morning when I woke up the swelling was only down a little bit
This morning when I woke up actually my nephew woke me up
This morning when I woke up there was a giant
This morning when I woke up I was having trouble breathing again
This morning when I woke up I decided I would drive to church
This morning when I woke up I thought I was dead

Google Poem #1
Last night I dreamed of angels.
Last night I dreamed I went to heaven.
Last night I dreamed a circus.
Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again.
Last night I dreamed of chickens.
Last night I dreamed I tried to kiss you.
Last night I dreamed of loving you.
Last night I dreamed of the Ledbetter Fields.
Last night I dreamed that the Real World had adopted the “Unix Philosophy”.
Last night I dreamed of Scamper.
Last night I dreamed I saw my mother young.
Last night I dreamed you still loved me.
Last night I dreamed of Gary, Indiana.
Last night I dreamed that I missed my flight to Chicago.
Last night I dreamed of floods.
Last night I dreamed I was being court-marshalled.
Last night I dreamed that Carl came home.
Last night I dreamed you kissed me.
Last night I dreamed of home.
Last night I dreamed I was in Bucharest.
Last night I dreamed I was looking down on the planet.
Last night I dreamed that she love me.
Last night I dreamed I kissed the ex-boyfriend of one of the girls I met at my scholarship interviews.
Last night I dreamed I went to Marrakesh again.
Last night I dreamed that
Last night I dreamed I sent too many e-mails.
Last night I dreamed of Bag End again.
Last night I dreamed of you.
Last night I dreamed a buffalo.
Last night I dreamed that I saw Jesus.
Last night I dreamed I was a boy.
Last night I dreamed about you.
Last night I dreamed that somebody loved me.
Last night I dreamed of my true love.
Last night I dreamed some pretty weird crap.
Last night I dreamed I went to heaven.
Last night I dreamed a circus.

A Story Contrary to Western Convention Perhaps
A collective piece of writing could be interesting here. The way the blog is published, each entry would be effectively published above the last - in reverse order to common western reading practice.
We'd have to start with the end and gradually build up to the beginning!
Good eh!
